The global market for Solar Heat for Industrial Processes (SHIP) is experiencing significant growth. In 2023, the newly installed capacity tripled compared to the previous two years, with 116 systems and 94 MW of capacity reported. The Netherlands and Spain were the key drivers of this growth. Concentrating systems, such as parabolic troughs and Fresnel collectors, accounted for 43% of the newly installed SHIP capacity, up from 16% in 2022. The survey was conducted by Solrico and supported by Natural Resources Canada.
